Orpheus is a storytelling event where Fort students read their original written work alongside professional, adult writers. The dates for this year are May 8, 15, 17, and 22 and the event begins at 6:00 PM each night in the auditorium. Admission is free.
For May 8th, the professional writers will be:
- Acacia Blackwell Writing has appeared in Nailed Magazine, Manifest Station, and Yoga Journal.
- Tabitha Blankenbiller First book, Eats of Eden, came out in March 2018. Writing has appeared in dozens of journals. Four-time Orpheus reader.
- Sage Cohen Author of Fierce on the Page and Writing the Life Poetic.
- Eli Saslow Pulitzer Prize winning journalist for the Washington Post (2014) and a finalist in 2013, 2016, 2017.
