Big round of applause for Ashley Pirrone!

“Ashley Pirrone is the winner of the Latino Leadership Northwest Educators First Prize. We are honored to recognize an educator whose dedication extends beyond the classroom and makes a profound impact on our community.”
Anyone who knows Ashley knows that she is deeply dedicated to ALL students in our building, is bilingual, has advised MEChA AND started a Latin American Literature Course that is part of the College in the High Schools program—just to name a few of the things she has done. She has tirelessly advocated for our Latinx students, and is such a worthy recipient of this award.

Additionally, senior and MEChA council member Laura Ramirez won the student leadership award for her initiative starting “Unidos”, a peer support program for newcomers.
