Anyone who knows Ashley knows that she is deeply dedicated to ALL students in our building, is bilingual, has advised MEChA AND started a Latin American Literature Course that is part of the College in the High Schools program—just to name a few of the things she has done. She has tirelessly advocated for our Latinx students, and is such a worthy recipient of this award.

Additionally, senior and MEChA council member Laura Ramirez won the student leadership award for her initiative starting “Unidos”, a peer support program for newcomers.
