Black Student Union (BSU)
Black Student Union (BSU) is a place of empowerment, inclusion, and education at Fort Vancouver High School Center for International Studies. Our goal is to create a space where students can learn about Black American and African culture, safely discuss issues facing people of color in the United States, become active members in the community to effect change, and empower Black students. Our club organizes poetry nights, movie nights, current events discussions, and our annual Night of Afro Black Excellence in which we showcase Black and African centric art, poetry, music, dance, fashion, food, and much else. All are welcome!
Find out more on our BSU Google site. Please contact advisor Robert Bearak if you have any questions. If you are a student and would like to be included in our Zoom meetings this year, please e-mail the advisor to be added to the group.
