Orpheus is a storytelling event where Fort students read their original written work alongside professional, adult writers. The dates for this year are May 8, 15, 17, and 22 and the event begins at 6:00 PM each night in the auditorium. Admission is free.
For May 17th, the professional writers will be:
  • Daria Eliuk Longtime Portland radio personality and actress. Also tells a great story.
  • Kirsten Larson Writing has appeared in many journals and she’s an editor at Nailed Magazine.
  • Kate Ristau Author of Shadow Girl and Clockbreakers, writing has appeared in the New York Times and many other outlets. Two-time Orpheus reader.
  • Kahlie Towle One of the leading storytellers in Portland, has performed for The Moth, BackfencePDX, and RISK!
  • Desiree Wright Writer and assistant editor at Voicecatcher.org
